Porterville, CA – The city of Porterville invites local businesses, organizations, schools, teams and community groups to participate in the annual Porterville Christmas Parade on Thursday, December 3, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in Downtown Porterville.
The parade will bring Main Street to life with festive floats, twinkling lights, performances and holiday cheer, celebrating one of Porterville’s favorite holiday traditions.
Registration is now open through November 12, 2026. Entries may include festive floats, decorated vehicles, dance groups, marching organizations and bands.
Judged categories include festive floats and decorated vehicles, with prizes for first through third place. Non-judged categories include dance and costumed groups, marching organizations and bands. Commercial and political entries are $50, while nonprofit organizations, government agencies and schools may participate for free.
Participants must follow parade guidelines, including decorating entries for Christmas. Entries are limited to two vehicles, with exceptions for eligible clubs. All entries must be lined up by 5 p.m. on parade day, semitrucks must be in place by 5 p.m. Candy and other items may not be distributed along the
