Porterville Chamber Invites Community to Support Young Entrepreneurs at the Jr. CEO Showcase

Porterville, CA - July 28, 2026

The Porterville Chamber of Commerce is proud to invite the community to the Jr. CEO Showcase on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Valley Adult Day Services, 227 E. Oak Ave., Porterville.

The showcase marks the culmination of the Chamber's week-long Jr. CEO Program, where local students in grades 6–12 transformed their business ideas into real ventures through hands-on entrepreneurial training, mentorship, and real-world experiences.

Throughout the week, students learned the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including branding, pricing, marketing, customer service, financial literacy, and business planning. They also heard from local business leaders, toured area businesses, and gained valuable insight into what it takes to start and operate a successful business.

The Junior CEO Showcase gives the public the opportunity to meet these young entrepreneurs, hear the stories behind their businesses, and shop a variety of products created entirely by the students.

Featured student businesses include:

  • Dough Re Mi Cookies – Homemade cookies and brownies supporting music education.
  • Em Creates 'Em – Handcrafted candles and custom party décor.
  • Studio Marixa – Custom slimes and Taba squishies personalized for every customer.
  • Blitzy's Kandi Shop – Handmade bracelets, cuffs, and creative wearable accessories.

"This showcase is about much more than selling products," said Kristy Martin, CEO of the Porterville Chamber of Commerce. "It's about giving young people the confidence to pursue their dreams, teaching them what it takes to build a business, and allowing our community to encourage the next generation of entrepreneurs. These students have worked incredibly hard, and we're excited for everyone to see what they've accomplished."

The Porterville Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to the businesses and organizations whose investment made this year's program possible.
