Juanita Zavala - Balloon Imaging
Juanita Zavala moved to Porterville from Long Beach in 1980 with her husband Roberto and one year old toddler Bobby. In 1982 Juanita gave birth to her son Michael. Juanita made her living as an x-ray technician with Family Health Care Network. She retired from Family Health Care Network four years ago. While visiting Imagine Arts Center she was introduced to the book Balloon Images. She wanted to do something special for her son Bobby’s wedding in 1998. Balloons were her medium for artistic expression. Bobby’s wedding was her first event and she had great joy in bringing her artistic balloons to his special day. Inspired by the Book Balloon Imageshe became a certified Balloon Artist! She started Balloon Imaging in 1999 at first she made Balloon art for her coworkers and friends. She became a Chamber member While Donnette Silva Carter was CEO of the Porterville Chamber of Commerce. In 2006 Juanita traveled with the Chamber and Donnette to China! Twelve days in China she saw the Great Wall of China and was a once in a lifetime experience. Juanita loves seeing the happy smiles on the faces of her customers when they see the Balloon Art Custom creations.
